Now that we have that out of the way — hello! I'm a journalist and editor from Vancouver, Canada.

Presently, I’m an editor at The Narwhal and a contributing writer to The Walrus. You can also find my recent writing in Maclean’s, Chatelaine, The Globe & Mail, The Tyee, and many other places. My literary criticism regularly appears in Quill & Quire and the Vancouver Sun. Previously, I was the co-publisher and editor-in-chief of SAD Mag.

My feature story The Curious Case of Gina Adams received the Gold Medal for Investigative Journalism and the Silver Medal for Long-Form Feature at the 2023 National Magazine Awards, and was a finalist for the Canadian Association of Journalists awards. It’s available as a limited-edition hardcover from Hingston & Olsen. My June 2023 cover story for Maclean’s, The End of Home Ownership, was the magazine’s most-read story of the year, and was a finalist in Long-Form Feature Writing for a 2024 National Magazine Awards. My work as a columnist for The Walrus has been nominated for a Digital Publishing Award and a National Magazine Award, and has been selected for the 2025 Best Canadian Essays.

My interests are diverse: I write about contemporary Indigenous issues, housing, reproductive rights, parenting, the climate crisis, and rollerskating. You can find many of my recent stories here.

I’m a member of the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation in Treaty 6, Saskatchewan, and I live and work on the ancestral, unceded homelands of the Musqueam, Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh First Nations.
