Now that we have that out of the way — hello! I'm an award-winning freelance journalist and editor from Vancouver, Canada.

I’m an editor at The Narwhal and a contributing writer to The Walrus. You can find my recent writing in Maclean’s, Chatelaine, The Globe & Mail, The Tyee, and many other places. My literary criticism regularly appears in Quill & Quire and the Vancouver Sun. Previously, I was the co-publisher and editor-in-chief of SAD Mag. My feature story “The Curious Case of Gina Adams” received the Gold Medal for Investigative Journalism and the Silver Medal for Long-Form Feature at the 2023 National Magazine Awards. It’s available as a limited-edition hardcover from Hingston & Olsen.

My interests are diverse: I write about contemporary Indigenous issues, housing, reproductive rights, parenting, the climate crisis, and rollerskating. You can find many of my recent stories here.

I’m a member of the Muskeg Lake Cree Nation in Treaty 6, and I live and work on the ancestral, unceded territories of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm, Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw and səl̓ilw̓ətaʔɬ peoples.
